Writing Consultation
As writers, sometimes we need a third person to validate the work itself. This keeps us at the page day after day. Other times, we want someone to brainstorm creative solutions to problems the work poses.
And yet later in the process, we want a person to read as the intended audience and help us identify problems. We want the reader to specify the places that don’t work and say, “I don’t follow” or “this doesn’t make sense” or even “I need more.” You might want the reader to offer solutions, you might not.
Finally, all of us arrive at the point when we are ready for constructive, “anything goes” feedback.
The point is:

As a writer with more than twenty-years experience teaching, I am available for manuscript and writing consultations. I especially love working with fiction writers and memoirists. Why? That’s what I spend my time reading. But truly, as a recovering lawyer and dedicated professor, I am just as thrilled to work with professionals exploring their creative side or students drafting their personal statements.
